Umhlanga's main bathing beach sits between the lighthouse and the Pearls, with lifeguards in season and shark nets offshore maintained by the KZN Sharks Board. Warm water, golden sand and the promenade right behind it make it easy to combine a swim with coffee or lunch nearby.
