SandBar is a relaxed beach bar and restaurant across from the sand in Umdloti, decked out with vintage surfboards and surf memorabilia. The menu leans towards tapas and seafood, such as mussels in coconut curry, prawn skewers and whole grilled fish, alongside ribs, burgers and a proper cocktail bar.
Insider tip: Book ahead for a weekend sundowner, as they can be reluctant to seat walk-ins when it is busy.
