A beautiful rocky tidal pool below Shaka's Rock, the headland said in local legend to be where King Shaka tested his warriors. The protected pools are rich with fish and corals unusually close to shore, making it one of the best snorkelling spots on the coast, with Salt Café at the beach entrance.
Insider tip: Wear reef shoes, as urchins and stonefish live among the rocks, and arrive early in season because parking is tight.
