A leafy Morningside park with a small zoo that has been part of Durban since 1910, home to Admiral, a giant tortoise who arrived in 1915. Recently refurbished, it has playgrounds, picnic and braai areas, and the Blue Zoo tea garden for breakfast or lunch under the trees.
Insider tip: Go in the morning as the zoo closes mid-afternoon, and book breakfast at the Blue Zoo tea garden.
